PASKAL use plastics with high strength and good UV resistance for all zippers and their components.
Polyester carrier tape. Sliders, teeth and endcaps are made of "POM" (Delrin®) plastics. POM feature high strength, hard- and stiffness in a wide temperature range. POM has a high abrasion resistance, low friction, high dimensional stability under heat and good sliding properties. The spiral is made of Polyamide and is very pliable and flexible. PASKAL recommend POM zippers in salt water environment to prevent corrosion.
